Something's wrong with Rat. All morning he's been curled over himself, whimpering pitifully. Vetra doesn't have the extranet. She doesn't have access to pyjak anatomy or eats to treat what sicknesses they might get. So whatever is wrong with him, she can't help.

Not alone, anyway.

She bundles Rat up in a blanket and holds him close. She uses her omni-tool to figure out where a decent vet is. They might not know any better how to treat him, but they at least have a better shot at it than she does.

With a bracing breath, she pushes the door open and swallows.

"I need help," she declares. "I can't figure out what's wrong with him."

She expects the stares, of course, but it still irritates her. Rat needs help.

Daine thinks it best that they get out of the lobby while they talk, so she tips her head towards the back before leading them into one of the exam rooms. "What is he?" she asks as they go. 'What are you?' she wants to ask, but doesn't. "When did he first start acting ill?"

The off-colored wild magic Rat gleams with makes it easy to believe he's not from Earth, or a realm much like Daine's own. But it's still near enough to wild magic for Daine to feel it, and maybe that means she can work with it, too.

She sends the little creature a thread of magic, curiosity and greeting and reassurance, then holds out her arms. "Mind if I take a look at him?"

"There we are," Daine breathes, cradling the oddly-shaped creature close to her body. "Poor little man."

She looks back up at the... at whoever this is, and adds, "I've got something called wild magic. It means I can talk to creatures, and heal them, but I've never tried to use it on something from another planet, before." She smiles encouragingly. "I think I can help, I just have to focus. It probably won't look like much from where you're standing, is all, and I won't be able to talk while I'm doing it. Is that all right?"

It seems only fair to warn them as she would any other worried pet owner. They wouldn't be the first to start fussing over the fact that she's 'not doing anything,' forcing her to start over from the beginning.
